IEDTA conference delegates are being offered on-campus accommodation at the University of British Columbia . These accommodations combine the city's most spectacular views and location with the best value and variety of rooms possible. In addition to these advantages, on-campus accommodation offers the convenience of being in close proximity to the conference events and IEDTA conference delegates.
The IEDTA has reserved a block of rooms for conference delegates. From July 15th until July 18th, 2010 (3 nights), we have reserved a limited number of rooms for conference delegates (and guests if desired) in the Marine Drive TowerResidences at the University.
( Note that the accommodation expenses are not included in the conference fee. Participants wishing to make use of this arrangement are requested to reserve your booking through UBC online reservations, see below)

We have reserved two types of accommodations for participants at the Marine Drive Tower Residences :
Tower Single: private bedroom with single bed, telephone and clock radio in a four bedroom shared apartment. Guests share two washrooms, lounge area and kitchenette (NOT equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, etc.). Housekeeping services include beds made daily, towels changed daily.
Check in is 3pm, checkout is 11am.
Price per night: $59.00 + Tax - includes breakfast
Tower Studio: Double bed, clock radio, telephone, private washroom, lounge area and kitchenette (NOT equipped with dishes, cooking utensils etc.). Housekeeping services include beds made daily, towels changed daily.
Check in is 3pm, checkout is 11am.
Price per night: $125.00 + Tax - includes breakfast
Another option (for families or delegates requiring premium accommodations) is the West Coast Suites.
These one bedroom suites feature a King bed in bedroom, double sofa bed in living room, with private washroom, TV, telephone, and fully-equipped kitchen. Rate is based on double occupantcy; a charge of $15.00 per night applies for each additional guest. Please note, these suites are NOT being held for the IEDTA conference.

The UBC campus is located in the UBC Endowment Lands next to the neighbourhood communities of Point Grey, Kitsilano, Kerrisdale, South Granville and False Creek. The campus is approximately 15 kms from the downtown core of Vancouver, but traffic can greatly increase your commute time, so plan accordingly.
